Course overview and objectives:

  • Legal requirements including criminal and civil law
  • Understanding duties on all parties
  • Identifying service owners, sourcing and reading drawings
  • Scoping, understanding and selecting surveys
  • CAT use and limitations (CAT certification can be included in the course please call for details)
  • Risk assessment and safe techniques including new technology and its safe deployment, in accordance with HSE doc HSG47
  • Permitting and permit issue and receipt including a permit issue test
  • Incident investigation
  • Written test
